About MaatFit
An institution that happens to be new.
Built by a founding team spanning software platforms, clinical medicine, and enterprise growth. We are early. We are honest about that. We are building for the long term.
Why we built MaatFit
Built because the field needed it.
Demand for metabolic care has exploded. The supply of metabolic physicians has not. The result is a system that rations care by making it smaller — shorter visits, longer gaps, and the quiet failure that defines chronic medicine: most patients falling out before the treatment has time to work.
We built MaatFit because we became convinced that the problem was solvable — not by replacing physicians, but by giving each physician's judgment more reach. And that the only way to do that right was to build the whole system: intake, intelligence, treatment, monitoring, and outcomes — as one platform, with the physician always in command.
The team
Founder & CEO
Mustafa Rabie
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Mustafa has spent over twenty-five years building platforms — the kind of software other software runs on — at Microsoft and at the startups that followed. Long enough to learn that the systems that last are never the loudest. They're the ones that got the foundations right and then earned trust slowly, by being correct, over and over.
He built MaatFit himself, end to end — the patient app, the physician and admin applications, the backend, the safety engine that runs on every clinical step. Not a prototype: the actual system. He built it that way because a company that asks physicians to let it into the room had better be built by people who understand, in their hands, exactly what they're putting there.
Physician Co-Founder & CMO
Dr. Amal Mebasher, MD
Physician Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Amal Mebasher is a board-certified family physician, California-licensed, and published researcher. She leads MaatFit's clinical design and holds the line on physician-in-command at every level of the platform. She joined as Physician Co-Founder because she shares the conviction that the right infrastructure can make physician-led metabolic care better — and that building it honestly is the only way to build it.
Clinical direction. Not a product feature. The physician is in command.
Co-Founder & CCO
Mohamed Badra
Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer
Mohamed brings 20+ years of experience across enterprise technology, digital transformation, customer success, and regional public-sector engagement, including experience with IBM and Core42 and work across Egypt, the UAE, and regional markets.
He leads MaatFit's commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, enterprise engagement, customer success, and regional/global expansion.
What we believe
The principles we built this company on.
The physician belongs at the center of care — as the one who decides, not as a formality the software routes around.
Attention is the medicine. Most care fails in the silence between visits, and closing that silence is the highest-leverage thing software can do in chronic disease.
A patient is a person. Metabolic disease is a medical condition, not a moral failing. Dignity is the floor, not a feature.
Naming our limits matters. In medicine, the one who tells you what they can't do is the one you can trust.
Care should compound — every outcome should make the next decision better, and the evidence belongs to the field.
